What they do

A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

  • Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from substance use challenges? We're seeking a
  • dedicated LAC/LPC/CAS/LACS, Master's Level Interns
  • to provide compassionate therapy and support to those in recovery.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with medical and therapeutic teams to provide holistic care.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain contact with parole officers and referral sources
  • Offer education and support to clients and their families.
  • Qualifications:
  • DORA License
  • Colorado proof of internship
  • required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
