• Full-time Creative Treatment Options is an outpatient Substance Abuse (SUD) counseling firm that has been in operation in the Denver area for 25 years.

We are seeking professional staff counselors who can work in person to help us deliver exceptional group and individual counseling to our court-ordered and Medicaid clients. This is an in person position with a potential for remote work in the future. Please be aware, if you are applying from out of state, we will not perform an interview or make a job offer until you are certified/licensed to practice in the state of Colorado. We offer groups both in person at our 3 locations as well as over telehealth using Microsoft Teams. We have 3 offices in the Denver area, located in Lakewood, Arvada, and Commerce City. Many of our counselors run both In Person and Telehealth groups, allowing flexibility in their schedules. We primarily provide SUD (Substance Use Disorder) treatment and the types of groups we run include IOP, DBT, CBT, MRT, ACT, SSIC, Men/Women in Recovery, Seeking Safety, Level II DUI (and Four+), among others. In addition to lesson-planning each week, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of client care including assessment, planning, treatment, documentation, and progress monitoring. We are open Monday-Thursday and run a majority of our groups in the afternoon/evenings between 4pm and 8pm. We are also open on Saturday mornings with groups from 8am-1pm.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and at minimum an active Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in good standing with Colorado DORA Ability to document and produce case and clinical notes clearly and dependably Experience working in a clinical setting

Preferred:

Experience with Addiction-specific Counseling Experience facilitating group therapy such as DBT, CBT, Cog, SSC, MRT Ability to write DAP notes and experience documenting cases for Medicaid (billing and charting) Experience working with court-ordered clients
