Full Job Description Overview:
Shift:
Full-time; Rotating schedule between 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and 12:30 PM-9:30 PM + rotating weekends/holidays Join Our Team as a Behavioral Health Professional! Make a meaningful impact by providing direct evaluation, counseling, and education services to individuals in treatment. You will guide case planning for clients and families while maintaining accurate documentation throughout the treatment process. In this role, you will serve as a team leader for substance abuse counselors, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and assist the Manager to support high-quality, client-centered care. Responsibilities:
Will provide direct substance abuse assessment, intervention, individual counseling, group counseling, and develop treatment plans, education and consultation services to identified clients, family, and support systems to promote recovery. Will follow conformance with standards set by local, state, and federal agencies (DASA rule 2060, Federal Probation guidelines, DEA, CARF, IAC, and Joint Commission standards) Be knowledgeable of all regional substance abuse facilities and services to assist in coordinating care for clients. Will complete drug and alcohol toxicology screenings as needed. Responsible for referral and case management activities, including facilitating referrals for additional services, participation in team meetings, coordinating care with community resources, etc.
Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Services License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons, attained within 3 months of employment. One of the following certifications listed below: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker within 2 years of employment in the state they are working.
Experience:
2 years of experience in the field of substance abuse is preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
