Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for individuals with substance abuse issues
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
• Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive change in clients
• Assist with case management duties, including referrals to community resources
• Collect and analyze data related to client outcomes and program effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CIT, LADC, CADC, etc.)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, including PTSD care
• Proficiency in case management practices and techniques
• Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10 for medical documentation purposes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective counseling sessions
• Ability to provide compassionate and non-judgmental support to clients
