Full Job Description Location:
Boston, MA -
Bradston Street, Suffolk County House of Corrections Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Pay rate: $28.85/hour

Discounts on wide array of services/entertainment nationwide The Counselor is responsible for: Providing psychoeducation and evidence-based treatment to offenders (pretrial and sentenced men and women) according to the approved curriculum and completing all required documentation in the case record (OMS). Facilitating 2-3 groups daily, based on current scheduling. Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time. Arriving for work on time and adheres to the programs attendance policies. Works cooperatively with SCSD personnel to ensure smooth operation and coordination of program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services, criminal justice education or closely related field required
CADC, LADC
II or other comparable certification/license or equivalent experience with substance use treatment groups/services preferred. Experience working with justice involved individuals and/or in a correctional setting preferred. Knowledge of SUD/MAT population and experience working with justice involved individuals in a correctional setting Staff must be able to pass extensive background check and pass drug screening
