Alcohol and Drug Counselor Omnis Health Life Wellness Center Baltimore, MD Job Details Full-time $26.81 - $32.29 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Electronic health records (EHR) management HIPAA Health information regulatory compliance Clinical confidentiality policies Clinical documentation standards Managing patient records Therapy progress note documentation Full Job Description Alcohol and Drug Counselor (OTP / MAT) Omnis Health Life is a CARF-accredited opioid treatment program (OTP) in Baltimore providing medication-assisted treatment (methadone and buprenorphine) alongside individual and group counseling. We're hiring a full-time Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our clinical team and carry a caseload of patients in recovery. We're open to counselors across credential levels — including trainees — and we provide qualified supervision toward higher credentialing as part of how we grow our team. What You'll Do Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-informed level-of-care determinations Develop, document, and regularly update individualized treatment plans Provide scheduled individual counseling and facilitate group counseling sessions Coordinate care with prescribers, nursing, and intake staff through induction and stabilization Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR per
COMAR, 42 CFR
Part 2, and CARF standards Connect patients to community resources (housing, primary care, reentry, social services) Support decisions around take-home eligibility, drug screening, and treatment engagement Participate in treatment team meetings and quality/compliance activities Requirements Active Maryland alcohol and drug counseling credential: ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD (or eligibility to begin the ADT trainee pathway) Comfort documenting in an electronic health record Working knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA confidentiality requirements Preferred Prior experience in an OTP, MAT, or substance use treatment setting Familiarity with ASAM criteria and treatment planning Experience facilitating group counseling Why Omnis Qualified supervision and a defined path toward higher credentialing (grow-your-own model) Collaborative clinical team with direct access to prescribers Meaningful, high-impact work serving patients in recovery Omnis Health Life is an equal opportunity employer.
