Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

Calvert County Health Department, Calvert County Behavioral Health is currently seeking a board-approved Substance Use Counselor / Trainee (ADT) to work in an exciting and innovative environment: Calvert County Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT), or licensed Therapist to join our innovative outpatient team. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive, face-to-face screenings and assessments to connect individuals with the appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria. The successful candidate will guide clients through the treatment planning process—collaboratively developing goals that address behavioral health, medical, employment, educational, family, and legal needs—and provide clients with direct referrals to vital community resources. Additionally, this role provides direct clinical care through both individual and group therapy.
REQUIREMENTS
Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT), or licensed Therapist (LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW) within the State of Maryland.
WORK LOCATION
Barstow/Prince Frederick (in-person).

From $28.00 per hour
License/Certification:
Certified A/D Counselor, ADT, or Licensed Therapist in MD (Required)
