A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

Greenville Treatment Center is now hiring a CADC and/or CADC-I to join our team! Greenville Treatment Center is a private clinic offering outpatient Methadone and Buprenorphine maintenance treatment to individuals who abuse opiates, including OxyContin, Heroin, Percocet, Vicodin, Oxycodone, etc. Our rehabilitation center provides a caring and therapeutic environment for opioid or heroin drug treatment. Certified substance abuse counselors, licensed nurses, and a physician are on staff at our center to deliver the best care.
Hours of operation:
Monday-Friday 5:30- 1:00 pm.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assessments. Individual therapy. Group therapy. Case management. Intakes. Drug education. Referral to community services. Coordination of care. Family counseling and education. Documentation of all therapy sessions/chart filing.
Qualifications and Skills:
CADC-I or CADC is required. Must be registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Practice Board - in good standing. Experience in the Substance Abuse field- highly desired.

Based on experience/education /certification status.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday. 5:15am-1pm.

Greenville, NC:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work. (Preferred).
