A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

New Season is seeking a SAIOP Counselor to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you'll provide intensive outpatient counseling to individuals with substance use disorders, including assessments, treatment planning, and group and individual therapy. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team, maintain detailed clinical documentation, and connect clients with community resources. This position supports a collaborative, values-driven culture that emphasizes respect, transparency, and client-centered recovery.
