full-time Company Description New Life Medical Addiction Services provides physician-led outpatient detox and intensive outpatient programs that help adults pursue recovery while maintaining work, family, and daily responsibilities. The team integrates therapy, 12-step principles, faith-based options, medication-assisted treatment, and individualized care plans to support long-term healing. Services are delivered in a safe, compassionate environment that emphasizes respect, dignity, and ongoing support. From the first contact through aftercare, New Life is committed to guiding individuals through each stage of their recovery journey. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Therapist role based in Marlton, NJ. The Therapist will provide individual and group counseling to adults in outpatient detox and intensive outpatient programs, using evidence-based modalities tailored to each person's treatment plan. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating individualized treatment plans, and documenting sessions and progress in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The Therapist will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other team members to coordinate care, monitor risk, and support medication-assisted treatment where appropriate. Additional duties include crisis intervention, family education and support, participation in multidisciplinary treatment meetings, and contribution to program development and quality improvement efforts. Qualifications Clinical counseling skills in individual and group therapy, including experience with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Knowledge of addiction treatment approaches, such as 12-step integration, medication-assisted treatment, and relapse prevention strategies. Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation abilities, with attention to regulatory and ethical standards. Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage crises, maintain professional boundaries, and foster a supportive, trauma-informed therapeutic environment. Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field; relevant state licensure or eligibility (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LAC, LSW) preferred. Experience in outpatient or intensive outpatient addiction treatment settings is highly beneficial. Comfort working in a physician-led program and collaborating on integrated medical and behavioral health care. Basic proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software.
