  • direct peer-to-peer
  • services
  • individuals who
  • substance abuse or co-
  • disorders. As an

  • Specialist will be responsible

  • multidisciplinary
  • to promote a culture in which

  • self-help activities. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

  • of recovery to inspire hope and provide support to others who are facing similar situations.
Essential Functions:
  • developing problem-solving skills to respond to challenging experiences
  • recovery Models effective coping and self-help strategies and techniques to individuals or groups of patients
  • overcome
  • fears, anxieties, urges,
  • triggers Assists/supports
  • in daily
  • making, resolution of minor problems, and crisis intervention as necessary Assists
  • in identifying their personal goals
  • objectives for recovery and sobriety Assists clinic staff in a
  • identifying
  • and
  • that are conducive to recovery Assists patients
  • creating their personal recovery plans Meets with
  • provide advice and support in accordance
  • treatment plans Assists/coordinates
  • support
  • on a regular basis Assists patients
  • obtaining and utilizing clinic-
  • community-based services that support
  • needs
  • by identifying community resources and encouraging participation,
  • engage in healthy social activities,
  • opportunities or provide other
  • as needed Observes behaviors
  • evidence of general well-being and discusses observations
  • the patient Assists patients in
  • empowerment skills

Education/Licensure/Certification:
