A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

Build Your Career with DNM Health Services DNM Health Services is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice serving all of Georgia with locations in McDonough, Griffin, Peachtree City, and Decatur. We are seeking Associate Professional Counselors (APC) or Associate Marriage & Family Therapists (AMFT) to join our Griffin, Peachtree City, Decatur, and McDonough locations. If you're looking for a supportive practice where you can continue developing your clinical skills while building a meaningful caseload, we'd love to meet you. Responsibilities Provide individual, couples, family, and/or adolescent therapy. Complete documentation in a timely manner. Participate in supervision and case consultation. Deliver ethical, compassionate, evidence-based care. Maintain professional standards in accordance with Georgia licensing requirements.
Schedule Full-Time:
Approximately 35 clinical hours/week
Part-Time:
Approximately 25 clinical hours/week Choose your schedule within clinic hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-9:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday 8:00AM-5:00 PM).
Qualifications:
Active Georgia APC or AMFT license (license eligible may apply) Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field Outpatient therapy experience preferred Strong documentation and communication skills Passion for helping individuals, couples, children, and families Compensation $25-$30 per completed clinical session (1099 Independent Contractor) Compensation based on clinical experience, years of post-internship practice, and readiness for independent licensure.
