Atascocita - 2310 1/2 Atascocita Rd. Humble, TX 77396 About Our Atascocita Location (Harris County):

Gateway's largest facility, Atascocita is a residential correctional center focused solely on substance use treatment for court-ordered clients. With 12 buildings and nearly 500 clients, the facility provides a structured, secure environment without armed guards. Staff work collaboratively in a team of 170, including counselors, probation officers, and support staff. The location is undergoing major renovations to become a state-of-the-art treatment center. We foster a supportive culture with team-building activities, recognition programs, and a strong mission-driven focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
Work Schedule:
 Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor responsibilities: Completes comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan. Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups. Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients' progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts. Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.
Requirements:
LCDC or LPC is required At least six months previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred. Master's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required. Experience in a corrections environment preferred. Must be able to obtain clearance from Harris County.
