Job Description
At South Point Counseling Services, we are committed to helping individuals uncover their true potential and build lives worth celebrating. Our outpatient program provides comprehensive behavioral health services for adults, children, and families, with a strong focus on emotional well-being and individualized care. In addition to therapy, we offer psychological testing, group therapy, medication management, substance use assessments, domestic violence assessments, and court-ordered services. SPCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Substance Abuse Coordinator to lead and support our substance use services. This is a full-time position with benefits, ideal for a clinician who is confident working with substance use disorders and ready to take ownership of program coordination, clinical quality, and client outcomes. About Us We are a team of over 30 clinicians who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. We foster a collaborative, accountable, and supportive environment where clinicians are expected to grow, contribute, and deliver high-quality care. Your Role As the Substance Abuse Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing substance use services within the practice. This includes conducting assessments, coordinating care, supporting clinicians, and ensuring clients receive consistent, evidence-based treatment. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical standards, supporting referrals, and helping grow this area of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct substance use assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans Provide individual and/or group therapy for clients with substance use disorders Coordinate care with internal clinicians and external providers Monitor client progress and ensure continuity of care Support referrals and program growth for substance use services Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and documentation standards Provide guidance and support to clinicians working with substance use casesRequirements:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university (required) Licensed in the state of Utah ( LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT) Minimum of 2 years of experience working with substance use disorders (required) Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, particularly with co-occurring disorders Experience with evidence-based substance use treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI) Ability to manage caseloads and coordinate care effectively Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Experience with court-ordered cases or assessments (required) Working knowledge and experience utilizing ASAM criteria for level of care determinations and treatment planning (required)Full-Time Benefits:
