As a Rehabilitation Counselor 1, you will provide a full range of rehabilitative/habilitative services, including: Assessing individuals' rehabilitative needs Assisting in creating treatment plans for rehabilitation services Monitoring and documenting progress toward established goals and objectives Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as Rehabilitation Counselor 1 if they have: Bachelor's degree in a human service field and 2 years of professional experience providing vocational, psychosocial, or rehabilitative/habilitative services in an agency primarily serving individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, mental illness, or addictions.
