Job Description

Job Overview Youth 360 is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist for our Houston after-school youth club. This is a part-time position responsible for building positive relationships with youth participants, designing and running high-quality activities, and supporting operation of our after-school teen program as part of a team of committed individuals. This position requires afternoon shifts, working 20-25 hours per week. Responsibilities Responsible for supervision, oversight and safety of youth participating in the Youth Club, in coordination with co-workers and volunteers. Assist Club Manager in implementing and facilitating daily activities. Regularly plan and implement club activities based on youth interest, staff skills and positive youth development principles. Act as a positive, supportive adult by building genuine relationships with youth participants while maintaining professional boundaries and ethics. Maintain safety and consistency in the program by upholding behavioral expectations, sticking to established routines and schedules, and collaborating with co-workers. Assist with day-to-day tasks, including organization, general cleanliness of club site, food provision and other tasks as assigned by Youth Club Manager. Experience & Competencies Must by 18 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in youth work, childcare, recreation or education preferred. Commitment and passion for working with youth, families, and the community. Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, stay flexible and highly organized in fast-paced environment. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships with diverse youth and families. Fingerprint-based background check required.
