Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Mentor to join our Children's Program . This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, providing person-centered support, skill development, and behavioral health interventions for children and adolescents receiving services. In this role, you will help youth develop age-appropriate coping skills, problem-solving abilities, social skills, and conflict resolution strategies that support treatment goals, emotional wellness, and long-term success.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years of experience working with the target population OR Associate's Degree (AS) or Bachelor's Degree (BS) in a human services-related field plus one (1) year of experience working with the target population Strong communication, relationship-building, and mentoring skills Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation Must successfully pass a background check Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the needs of youth and families
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized therapeutic mentoring services to children and adolescents receiving behavioral health treatment Support youth in developing age-appropriate coping skills, problem-solving abilities, emotional regulation, social skills, and conflict resolution strategies Reinforce treatment goals and therapeutic interventions developed by the treatment team Assist youth in applying learned skills in home, school, and community settings to improve functioning and independence Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, families, schools, and other service providers to support continuity of care within the CCBHC care model Monitor progress toward treatment goals and communicate observations to the treatment team as appropriate Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and CCBHC guidelines Promote resilience, positive behavioral change, and family engagement through person-centered, strengths-based services
Work Environment:
Work directly with children and adolescents in home, school, community, and outpatient settings as appropriate Support youth and families through individualized mentoring, skill-building, and behavioral health interventions Engage in meaningful work that promotes emotional wellness, positive development, and successful treatment outcomes for children and adolescents ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver's license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
