As a Youth Development Program Counselor , you'll help create a safe, supportive, and exciting afterschool environment where every child feels welcomed, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential. If you're looking for a job that truly matters, this is it! What You'll Do Build positive, supportive relationships with youth. Supervise members and ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Lead engaging activities, games, and enrichment programs. Assist members with homework and academic success. Encourage positive behavior while serving as a role model. Prepare activity spaces and materials before programs begin. Monitor attendance and participate in daily program operations. Follow all Boys & Girls Club policies, safety procedures, and child protection standards. What We're Looking For Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Creative, energetic, and willing to jump into activities. Ability to manage groups of children in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working with youth is preferred but not required. Schedule Part-Time Afterschool hours (Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:00 PM) Additional hours may be available during school breaks, special events, and summer programs.
