The ideal candidate leads with empathy while maintaining clear expectations and healthy boundaries. Responsibilities Build trusting relationships with youth by providing mentorship, encouragement, and support tailored to their individual needs. Develop and implement engaging youth development programs that promote positive behavioral interventions. Assist youth with academic tasks, homework, and skill-building activities to enhance their educational experience. Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to coordinate services and support high-risk populations effectively. Facilitate conflict management strategies to resolve disputes constructively and maintain a respectful environment. Support adolescents' social-emotional growth through culturally responsive mentoring practices rooted in adolescent development principles. Maintain accurate case management records, document progress, and communicate regularly with clients and probation about youth outcomes. Requirements Prior experience working with at risk youth or adolescents in educational, social work, or youth program settings. Knowledge of special education needs, behavioral health strategies, and positive behavioral interventions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Strong written communication skills for documentation and client interaction. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve diverse communities. Experience supporting youth with disabilities or from high-risk backgrounds is preferred. Ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a positive environment.
