The schedule is:
Mon.-Fri., 9:30am-6:00pm. •This position is included in the Teamster Local 856 Union.

Position Summary The Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient program is responsible for the provision of direct client services and care coordination for assigned youth and families within the designated Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient program in the Acute Intensive Services (AIS) department. Core Competencies Provides counseling and behavioral interventions, guidance, skills building and support in accordance with each client's individualized treatment plan and the program's treatment philosophy and model While under the counselor's care, always maintains supervision to ensure their safety and well-being Demonstrates cultural competency, humility, and sensitivity while treating youth, families, and colleagues with dignity and respect Responsibilities Functions as a PHP/IOP Counselor within the Acute Intensive Services Programs and is responsible for direct supervision of clients Partners with the treatment team in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individualized treatment plans for clients Takes responsibility for participating in, leading and designing positive program activities and mental health rehabilitation groups Will consider mealtimes with the children to be work hours Provides proper physical safety and care of each child in their care Responsible for meeting daily documentation standards and billing requirements Completes specific administrative tasks as assigned such as maintaining cottage outing/activity plans and clothing inventories Maintains safety and cleanliness of physical environment Safeguards the dignity and protects the rights and individuality of each child in their care and act to enhance the children's self-respect. Attends and contributes to weekly cottage staff meetings, assigned supervisory meetings, and/or acquires relevant material shared at these meetings Attends a minimum of 20 hours of training per fiscal year as assigned by Training Department or Milieu Manager Collaborates effectively with all Vicente campus programs to ensure all programs are supported and clients are safe Follows Handle with Care principles and teachings Provide transportation services when necessary, using company vehicles Completes other duties as assigned Applied Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to physically hold and/or restrain children if/when necessary, following "Handle with Care" principles and techniques Must apply for, or possess, a National Provider Identification (NPI) number within one week of hire Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid California Driver's License or able to obtain one Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Relevant work experience with adolescents and/or significant mental health issues preferred Ability to develop, cultivate, and adapt to the diverse cultural backgrounds of our clients Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team Ability to think independently and make informed decisions when needed Salary Information The hourly rate range for this position is: $23.15 with no differential, $25.46 - $27.77 based on 1-2 differentials for experience and language. •Please note- the language differential is contingent on passing a language proficiency test.
