Job Description

The purpose of Agape Homes & Changing Faces STRTP is to provide services in a home-like, secure, and culturally sensitive environment to youth/NMDs, serving a diverse population with drug and alcohol addiction, op positional defiance, posts traumatic stress disorder (PTSD/Core trauma), social skills deficits, sexual victims and physically/emotional abused, and those in need of mental health and psycho-social education/treatment services. Agape Homes provides services to a youth/NMD regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Agape Homes and changing faces serves females and LGBTQ, youth/non-minor dependents 12-17 + NMD years of age, placed through WIC 300 dependents, WIC 602 wards, 601 status offenders.

full-time /Part time overnights open availability looking for weekdays and weekend ( Position is AWAKE not a sleeping shift ) Sunday-Wednesday Part time weekend days Non-profit organization Direct Care Staff/Facility Manager for Short term Residential Program (Santa Maria ) Teen Residential Program looking for dependable qualified staff with flexibility availability for full time and part time positions. Job Duties include but are not limited to; Supervising youth in a residential treatment program Establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with both internal staff throughout all levels of the agency and with external resources. Providing trauma focused behavior intervention, crisis response and harm reducing care to youth struggling with trauma symptoms. Prepare and submit written reports and documentation daily Implementing the regulations and expectations of a treatment community Transportation in a company owned vehicle is a must Assist in meal preparation to ensure a balanced diet Ensure the physical plant maintains compliance pertaining to cleanliness Dispense medication Oversee appointments with therapists, physicians, counselors, school professionals and other outside agencies are adhered to. Attend on going training's/staffing's as scheduled Comply with Community Care Licensing regulations Direct care staff shall meet one of the following requirements prior to employment: Must be 21 years of age and possess one of the following i. Have a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree; ii. Have a valid Child Development Teaching Permit; iii. Have completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; iv. Have a valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; v. Have a valid Vocational Training certificate, credential or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journey person who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; or vi. Have previously been employed as a staff or volunteer at a group home or short-term residential therapeutic center for at least one year. vii. Have relevant experience as determined by the department to meet any of the above requirements. Must have a valid drivers license as well as clear criminal background.
