New Alternatives, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency that is dedicated to healing the hearts of children and teens who have survived traumatic events throughout their lives. Our community based group home is located conveniently in Spring Valley. We are looking for creative, motivated, passionate and dedicated staff who can engage our vulnerable population of teen girls. Job Duties and Responsibilities Actively engage SED teens in daily activities. Assist teens with daily living skills, self-esteem building and emotional regulation skills. Work with a skilled team to provide crisis intervention skills and de-escalate teens. Participate in ongoing training to build your knowledge base of how trauma impacts behaviors, de-escalation techniques, meditation strategies and behavior specific interventions. Qualifications/Requirements BA/BS strongly preferred, if no degree, 1+ years experience with teens Experience with teens is a plus.
