With multiple locations serving thousands of children and families, we focus on nurturing potential and fostering a supportive environment for growth. Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate School Age Child Care Counselor to join our team! In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children during after-school hours, school breaks, and summer programs. Your enthusiasm will help children develop new skills, build friendships, and enjoy enriching activities that promote their overall well-being. Responsibilities Now hiring for Fall!
Pay:
$16.94 an hour and

Before Care Counselors Hours:
6:30am-9:00am
After Care Counselors Hours:
2:15pm - 6:00pm or 3:00pm - 6:00pm Flexible workdays! Must be 16 years of age or older Have previous experience working with children Responsible for developing a positive relationship and projecting a positive attitude while interacting with staff, children, parents, and YMCA supervisors Responsible and accountable for effectively planning, supervising and leading activities for school age children Serve as role model for the children as well as staff Able to be certified in CT Childcare, Adult & Child CPR, administering medication and Epi-pen, and attain certification within 90 days of employment Site Coordinators $19.72 an hour
Hours:
3:00pm - 6:00pm Flexible work days! Must be 20 years or older Qualified Candidate must be certified or working on a CT DPH Head Teacher's Certification Possess or be in the process of obtaining a 4-year degree Have previous experience working with children Works effectively with children, families and other staff For more information, please contact Lisa Zaborowski at lzaborowski@sccymca.org
