We utilize evidence-based, early assessments of our children and families to deepen our understanding of the breadth and depth of their needs, as well as evidence-based therapeutic interventions with measurable outcomes to support, heal and strengthen. Our team combines clinical services with the rigors of research to continuously improve our standards of care, measure the impact of different therapeutic models, offering therapeutic supports to our children and potentially advancing the status of sheltered children everywhere.

//lotushouse.org/research/ We are seeking a seasoned Master's or Doctoral level therapist to provide individual and family therapy for the children and their mothers at the shelter in addition to families in the community of Overtown. The candidate should be either licensed or a registered intern in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology with the State of Florida. Therapists with experience and/or certification or training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP); Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT); Video Feedback Interaction for Positive Parenting (VIPP); and/or Triple P (PPP) are also preferred. Clinicians with experience administering evidence-based assessments are also preferred. Candidates must have experience working with individuals with complex trauma, medical and mental health issues and developmental needs and delays and be committed to helping improve the lives of women and children in the community. Candidates must also have strong engagement and conflict resolution skills.
