Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Youth Specialist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people. In this vital role, you will provide mentorship, support, and guidance to youth facing various challenges, fostering their growth and resilience. Your energetic approach will help create a positive environment where young individuals feel valued, empowered, and motivated to reach their full potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, families, and community partners to promote healthy development and social well-being. Duties Develop trusting relationships with youth by engaging in active mentoring and supportive conversations Implement individualized plans that promote behavioral health, social skills, and emotional regulation Assist with daily activities such as childcare, educational support, and recreational programs Collaborate with families, educators, social workers, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and services Manage conflict situations using effective conflict management techniques to ensure a safe environment Lead group activities that encourage social interaction, teamwork, and skill-building Document progress notes, incident reports, and service plans accurately and timely to ensure compliance and continuity of care Requirements Experience working with children in educational, childcare, or social service settings Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for working with children with disabilities Background in behavioral health or child welfare services is highly desirable Strong skills in mentoring, teaching, and conflict management to foster positive interactions Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children facing emotional or developmental challenges Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, team members, and community partners Relevant certifications or training in social work, child development, or related fields are a plus Join us in creating a nurturing environment where youth can thrive! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
