Part-time, Full-time Position Summary:
Positive Growth Inc. is seeking mature, dependable, and compassionate Residential Youth Care Workers to provide supervision, structure, and support to adolescent males in a licensed residential childcare setting. This is a direct-care position for individuals who can remain calm under pressure, follow agency procedures, maintain appropriate boundaries, and provide consistent supervision to youth who may have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, family disruption, or placement instability. The ideal candidate is not simply looking for a job, but understands the importance of safety, structure, accountability, and positive adult role modeling.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide active supervision of youth in a residential group home setting Maintain safety, structure, and appropriate boundaries at all times Monitor youth during daily routines, meals, hygiene, recreation, school preparation, bedtime, and transitions Support youth with emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive decision-making Follow program rules, behavior support plans, safety plans, and individualized service goals Redirect inappropriate behavior in a calm, professional, and respectful manner Complete required documentation accurately and on time Communicate concerns to supervisors according to agency protocol Assist with housekeeping expectations and help maintain a clean, safe environment Participate in staff meetings, training, and shift communication Transport youth or assist with appointments, activities, and program needs as assigned This position requires individuals who can: Remain calm when youth are upset, defiant, or emotionally escalated Accept supervision and follow agency policy Work as part of a team Stay awake, alert, and engaged throughout the assigned shift Document clearly and professionally Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Be consistent, fair, and firm without being harsh
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 25 years of age Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth, preferably in residential care, behavioral health, foster care, juvenile justice, education, mentoring, or a related setting Must be able to pass fingerprint background check and all required Georgia residential childcare clearances Must be willing to complete required training, including CPR/First Aid and CPI Must have reliable transportation Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled
Preferred Experience:
Residential group home experience Experience working with at-risk youth or youth with behavioral/emotional needs Trauma-informed care training Behavioral health, foster care, juvenile justice, school, or mentoring experience Medication monitoring or documentation experience
Available Shifts:
7:00 a.m.

m. Shift availability is based on current program needs. One weekend per month is mandatory. Staff must be willing to work at more than one location on the same campus if needed.
