Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Residential Youth Counselor and make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth from diverse backgrounds. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support, mentorship, and guidance to young individuals in a residential setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to youth development and support high-risk populations through engaging programs and personalized care. Responsibilities Supervise daily activities of youth residents, ensuring a safe and structured environment Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) to promote respectful conduct and emotional regulation Develop trusting relationships with youth, providing mentorship and encouragement to foster personal growth Assist with educational activities, life skills training, and recreational programs tailored to adolescent development Collaborate with families, social workers, and community partners to coordinate care plans and support services Document progress notes, incident reports, and case management records accurately and promptly Manage conflicts effectively using de-escalation techniques while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor Qualifications Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, childcare, or youth program settings Knowledge of behavioral health principles, adolescent development, and positive behavioral interventions Strong communication skills for client interaction, family engagement, and team collaboration Ability to work with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations with sensitivity and respect High School Diploma Required / College Degree Preferred Join us in empowering youth to reach their full potential!
