What is the Boys & Girls Club? As "The Positive Place For Kids" we provide guidance-oriented character development programs for children 6 to 17 years old conducted by a full-time professional staff. The Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County nurtures young people's self-esteem by instilling in them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and competence. Core programs at the Club engage young people annually in activities with adults, peers and family members that enable them to develop self-esteem and to reach their full potential. The primary responsibility of a Youth Mentor is to ensure the safety and well-being of all youth members. The Youth Mentor delivers structured educational, social, athletic, and recreational programs for the Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship serving young people aged 6-17. Additionally, the Youth Mentor is committed to understanding and embodying the mission and core values of the Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County.
