After School Club Counselor (Part-Time)
Location:
Gymnastics Academy of Rockford•Rockford, IL Do you love working with kids? Are you energetic, dependable, and looking for a fun, rewarding part-time job? Gymnastics Academy of Rockford is looking for enthusiastic After School Club Counselors to join our team! Our counselors help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive after the school day. Schedule Monday through Friday 2:00 PM•6:00 PM during the school year Opportunities to work full days on school holidays, institute days, winter break, spring break, and other no-school days Additional full-time hours available during our summer camp program Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of elementary-aged children. Lead games, crafts, sports, gym activities, and other enrichment activities. Assist children with homework when needed. Serve snack and help with daily routines. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Be an active, positive role model for all campers.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Dependable and punctual. Energetic and enjoys staying active. Patient, kind, and positive. Comfortable leading groups of children. A strong communicator and team player. Passionate about creating a fun and safe experience for kids. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience with children through babysitting, camps, coaching, daycare, education, youth programs, or similar experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass a background check. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (training opportunities may be available). Why You'll Love Working Here Fun, supportive team environment.
