Jeffersonville, IN Job Details Part-time $19 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Clark County Youth Shelter (CCYS) is currently seeking dedicated individuals to work directly with teens and youth at our facility in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana. CCYS offers both short-term and long-term residential services to youth referred by the Department of Child Services (DCS) and Juvenile Probation Departments. We provide a safe and supportive environment for youth between the ages of 10 and 19, from across Indiana. Our services include housing, meals, clothing, 24-hour supervision, medical and dental care, tutoring, counseling, and recreational activities.
Position:
Part-Time, Overnight Shift ( benefits included )
Hours:
10:00 PM - 8:00
AM Schedule:
Long-week and short-week rotation format Health Benefits and PTO are part of this position
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, monitor, and interact with adolescents in a shelter care setting. Conduct intake and orientation for new residents. Maintain detailed records in shift logs, including behavior summaries, medication logs, and daily evaluations of resident interactions and attitudes. Complete daily reports and document any significant incidents. Implement educational and recreational activities to engage youth in positive, productive ways. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and contribute to team discussions. Assist residents with housecleaning chores and meal preparation. Perform all duties in a cooperative and team-oriented manner to maintain a positive working environment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum age of 21. Ability to pass all local, state, and national background checks. Valid driver's license and a second form of identification.
