About Us:

Life Choices YRCII in Parsons, KS, is dedicated to providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for at-risk youth in our residential facility. We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Youth Direct Support Staff.

Responsibilities:

Provide supervision, guidance, and support to youth in a residential setting. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents while maintaining a structured environment. Model and encourage positive behaviors, communication, and problem-solving skills. Assist with daily activities, including meals, chores, recreation, and life skills development. Support successful individualized plans and interventions to nurture the emotional and behavioral needs of residents. Document and report incidents, behaviors, and progress accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships with youth. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure consistency in care and support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience working with at-risk youth preferred (residential care, youth programs, social services, or related fields). Must be at least 21 years old. High school diploma or GED required Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Ability to set clear expectations and maintain a positive, supportive environment. Fingerprinting and background checks required. First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
