Will be trained in mental health first aid so as to be able to use tools necessary to encourage satisfaction in clients. Counselor is responsible for teaching of community skill, accurate documentation of treatment plan and progress note, advocacy, assessment, behavioral support service, psycho education, crisis intervention, and community liaison, etc. Counselor is in charge of carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of APS LLC, etc. Must have good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must know DSM and its symptoms within PRP programs. Must know how to assess child, adolescent, and adult. Must be ready to guide the treatment plan, advocacy, and case management. Must know how to use Microsoft Office programs and able to protect patients. Must be multitasking with understanding of sensitivity to serving diverse cultures and at times, the special needs population, etc. Must have a bachelors degree in Human Services related field from an accredited institution or equivalent two year experience. Must have minimum of a year experience in mental health setting in this preferred a 3-4 years experience. Must have valid Driver License, Privileging and Credentialing, DLA-20 certification, CPR certification.
