This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to empower individuals and foster peaceful communication within diverse communities. As a facilitator, you will create safe spaces for open conversation, promote understanding across cultural and social differences, and support high-risk populations including children, families, and individuals with disabilities. Your energetic approach will inspire positive change and help build resilient, connected communities. Responsibilities Lead interactive workshops and discussion groups centered on conflict management, behavioral health, and social services topics. Develop engaging curriculum and activities that promote effective communication skills, emotional regulation, and cultural awareness. Support participants through crisis intervention techniques and child protective services protocols when needed. Collaborate with community organizations to coordinate outreach efforts and ensure inclusive participation from diverse populations. Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, participant progress, and incident reports while respecting confidentiality standards. Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, session summaries, and program evaluations. Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations to ensure participant safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience working with children, families, or high-risk populations in social services or child welfare settings. Knowledge of child protective services, child & family services, family law, and behavioral health practices. Strong crisis intervention and crisis management skills with the ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively. Excellent communication and writing skills to facilitate discussions clearly and document program activities accurately. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve culturally diverse communities effectively. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in childcare environments is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and correspondence purposes. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or relevant social work credentials are a plus.
