Job Description

Overview Hiring Incentive Available :
$10,000 The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor I (LCPC I) is a primary therapist to children, adolescents, and families who have experienced or may be at risk for trauma through physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, domestic and community violence and negative social conditions. Responsibilities Provide individual, family, or group psychotherapy services to children and their families. Conduct evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, to determine appropriate treatment modality. Collaborate with the referring agency to assist them in utilizing the evaluation/treatment services in the development of the service plan for the child and family. Collaborate with the school system to ensure that children are receiving appropriate educational services, if indicated. Participate in peer consultation groups and/or individual supervision for the review of clinical work. Attend in-service clinical training programs, treatment planning meetings, and necessary administrative meetings. Maintain client activity at the projected level set by the administrative staff. Maintain the medical record for each client seen, which includes a treatment plan and diagnostic interview at the initiation of therapy, weekly progress notes, periodic reviews, and termination summary. May participate in the field instruction program and supervise counseling trainees when interest and capacity are demonstrated. May participate in specialized clinics focused on particular conditions or treatments. Qualifications Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists at the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) level. Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
EDUCATION
Must have either A Master's degree in professional counseling or related field with a minimum of 60 graduate semester credit hours or 90 graduate quarter credit hours OR A Doctoral degree with a minimum of 90 graduate semester credit hours or 135 graduate credit hours.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years of licensed clinical experience related to providing services to children in the child welfare population with developmental and emotional disturbance required. Minimum pay range USD $78,094.00/Yr. Maximum pay range USD $100,672.00/Yr.
