Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Residential Teen Youth Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of adolescents navigating complex challenges. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate supervision, support, and guidance to high-risk youth within residential settings. Your energetic approach will foster a safe, nurturing environment where teens can develop essential life skills, manage behavioral health issues, and build confidence for their futures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with underserved communities, empowering young individuals to thrive. Duties Supervise and engage with adolescents in residential settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement behavioral management strategies to promote positive conduct and conflict resolution among residents Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing de-escalation techniques and emergency response protocols Assist with intake procedures, including data collection, documentation, and filing of resident information Support families through communication and case management efforts, fostering collaborative relationships Administer medication following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records Participate in training on child development, ukeru techniques, handle with care, verbal de-escalation, first aid, and security procedures to enhance service delivery Requirements Proven supervising experience working with youth or high-risk populations in residential or community settings Strong communication skills to effectively interact with teens, families, staff, and external agencies Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies Experience with behavioral health support, and working with individuals with mental health conditions Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and administer first aid or CPR when needed (we will provide training) Familiarity with data entry, filing, data collection, and documentation processes Medication administration preferred but not required; training provided if necessary Commitment to supporting underserved communities through compassionate care and culturally sensitive practices Embark on a rewarding career where your energy fuels positive change! Pay:
$16.00 - $19.25 per hour
