Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking energetic and compassionate Youth Development Staff to inspire and support young people in their growth and learning. In this role, you will create a positive, engaging environment that promotes childhood development, social skills, and academic success. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a safe space where children can thrive through structured activities, mentorship, and creative programming. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on youth while developing your skills in education, childcare, and community engagement. Duties Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development for children and youth. Manage classroom or activity spaces with effective behavior management techniques to ensure safety and engagement. Implement lesson plans or program schedules that incorporate educational content, arts, sports, or recreational activities. Provide first aid and respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies during program hours. Support children by being flexible, adapting activities, and providing personalized assistance. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and community partners to promote ongoing participation and support. Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and safety documentation in compliance with organizational policies. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, or tutoring programs is preferred. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or childcare roles is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to youth development.
