Job Description

Role Summary:
Provides direct care and supervision to the youth of the group home.
Hours:
Fixed Overnight Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Alternating Shifts (Both Day and Night shifts required) The Residential Staff is responsible for: Monitoring and attending to the daily needs of youth. Implementing the behavior interventions. Implementing daily schedules and activities. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all youth. Documenting youth behavior and critical incidents. Providing instruction and support in personal hygiene, job readiness, cooking, money management, social skills, and independent living skills. De-escalating youth. Organizing and supervising group activities and outings. Transporting youth to and from appointments, school, and visitation as needed; the use of a personal vehicle is required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate Experience in residential care or youth services preferred Strong interpersonal and observational skills Must be 21 years of age or older Pre-employment medical statement (DCY 1390) The ability to pass all background checks including BCI/FBI background checks, Ohio alleged perpetrator search, Alleged perpetrator search for any state resided in the past five years, and Search of the United States Department of Justice National Sex Offender Public Website. Trained in Trauma Informed Approaches through eBased Academy. Course Name -
OOC:
Trauma Informed Approaches within 30 days of hire. Trained and certified de-escalation techniques within 30 days of hire through Relias Academy. Course Name - Preventing and handling crisis situations. Trained and certified in Adult and Child CPR and First Aid. If transporting youth, must have a valid driver's license, an approved vehicle, and current automobile insurance. Documentation must show that the personal vehicle has been inspected and approved by the Ohio State Patrol for transporting youth.
