CONCERN is a non-profit human services organization dedicated to providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health services to children and their families. We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging, role models to join our team as a Youth Worker I at the Concern Treatment Unit for Boys (CTUB). The residential Youth Worker I provides support and supervision in a residential setting to male youth needing rehabilitative therapy and care. You will have the unique responsibility of fostering a safe environment that allows youth to grow and gain new social-emotional skills they need to be successful outside of the program. You will watch over the daily care of youth within the residential program, track program schedules and goals for each youth, and supervise them during activities. The facility is open 24/7, scheduling may vary to fit the needs of the supervision of clients. What Do I Need? Education and Experience High School diploma or G.E.D. (Required) At least one year of experience working with youth (Preferred) Other Requirements You will maintain required state and federal clearances and/or credentials. You will exhibit excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. You will have a valid drivers license. You will have the ability to effectively use office equipment. What Will I Do? You will provide residential clients with a safe, structured and secure environment adhering to program guidelines of CONCERN and the Department of Human Services. You will serve as a constructive role model, build relationships and engage with residential clients appropriately and address positive and negative behaviors in a fitting manner. You will transport youth, monitor their whereabouts, and participate in daily program functions ensuring rules and norms are enforced. You will complete assigned documentation such as client information forms, daily logs and incident reports. You will attend all required supervisions, meetings and trainings.
