Position Summary After-School support Lead Instructors by providing hands-on assistance during activities, mentoring students, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. They help students who need extra support, serve snacks and meals, assist partner organizations during programs, and actively participate alongside youth in all activities. Key Responsibilities Support Lead Instructors during daily lessons and activities, offering one-on-one or small group help to students as needed. Actively participate in all activities, modeling enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive behavior. Serve snacks and meals in accordance with program guidelines. Act as a mentor, speaking to youth with respect and kindness at all times. Follow Dragon's Den curriculum, behavior management strategies, and de-escalation techniques. Maintain a clean and organized program space; assist with setup, transitions, and cleanup. Build positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal growth and development. Support the mission of Dragon's Den by promoting an inclusive, empowering, and inspiring environment. Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Instructors, the Program Manager, or the Executive Director. Qualifications Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings preferred. Passion for improving the lives of children and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow established curriculum and behavioral strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to respectful communication.
