- 7/1/2026 Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of Juvenile Justice Services Youth Development Associates, Youth Development Specialists and Technicians in providing counseling and treatment services for severely behaviorally disordered youth.
Provide security, supervision and control of delinquent adolescents. Provide directions to ensure that adequate standards of conduct, health, safety, housekeeping and recreation are maintained.
Supervise subordinate personnel including:
hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. Oversee the schedule of the unit, approve staff time off, and approve timesheets. Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials. Use non-violent crisis intervention techniques. Lead the work of others by monitoring, reviewing, training and delegating. Adhere to standards of care and supervision for traumatized youth. Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing. Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally. Qualifications Eight years of full-time experience in working with troubled youth or a combination of education in a related field and work experience with troubled youth that equals eight years. A valid Utah Driver's License. About the Role Location
