Job Description

Job Summary St. Peter's is seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Youth Ministries to lead and inspire our youth community, grades 6 -12. In this vital role, you will develop innovative programs, foster spiritual growth, and build meaningful relationships with young people and their families. Your leadership will empower youth to explore their faith, serve others, and develop into confident, compassionate individuals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the spiritual journey of youth while collaborating with staff, volunteers, and community partners to create a vibrant, welcoming environment. This role is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader eager to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people through faith-based guidance, innovative programming, and compassionate mentorship. Join us in shaping the future of our youth community! Responsibilities Design and implement engaging youth programs that promote spiritual development, leadership, and service opportunities. Provide mentorship and to support youth through life challenges and personal growth. Coordinate events such as retreats, service projects, and educational workshops that foster community involvement. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all participants. Collaborate with church staff and community organizations to expand outreach efforts and strengthen youth engagement initiatives. Offer guidance on social work topics relevant to youth development, including mental health awareness and bereavement support. Lead fundraising efforts to support youth programs through grant writing, donations, and community partnerships. Skills Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate both youth and adult volunteers. Excellent communication skills for effective outreach, counseling, and team collaboration. Experience in teaching or mentoring young people within a faith-based or educational setting. Strong event planning abilities to organize retreats, camps, and community service projects. Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds while maintaining a safe environment.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
