The Country Club of Virginia is searching for hospitality-driven team members who want to continuously make a positive impact on the organization and the individuals around them. Do you enjoy interacting with kids? We are seeking friendly, responsible, and energetic adults to staff our Youth Center. You will assist in monitoring interactions between the children and communicating with parents about their children, ensuring a safe environment and quality experience for the whole family. Other opportunities for this position include working birthday parties and other youth events. This is a perfect opportunity for college students! Essential Duties Greet children and parents warmly and communicate with parents at youth program drop-off and pick-up Play games with children, supervise activities, and monitor the interactions between children in the Youth Lounge Manage youth using verbal redirection, physical removal, and time out as appropriate for children in programs and using the Youth Lounge Carry out daily room set-up and clean up for programs Exhibit proper phone etiquette and personal interactions to meet Club standards Complete other tasks contributing to the success of the Youth and Aquatics Department Schedule Year-round, Part-time — Approximately 15-25 hours per week
Youth Lounge:
Monday — Thursday from 3:00 PM — 6:30 PM and Friday 2:00 PM — 6:30
PM Youth Programs:
Monday—Friday evenings and Weekends, approximately 3-hour shifts Qualifications A friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine desire to connect and engage with youth Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety Previous experience working with children required, preferably middle-school age and up High school education preferred Club Profile The Country Club of Virginia is one of America's oldest and finest private, member-owned clubs.
