Windsor County Youth Services (WCYS) - The House at 20 Mile Stream Windsor County Youth Services (WCYS) is dedicated to providing 24/7 care and support for youth in crisis within a compassionate, consistent, and trauma-informed environment. Our mission is to develop and implement crisis prevention and early intervention programs while increasing awareness of existing resources that promote healthier lifestyles and informed decision-making for youth and their families. We are currently seeking Youth Advocates to join our dedicated team for second-shift positions, including weekends. About Us The House at 20 Mile Stream serves youth ages 13 to 18, including those under the care of the Department of Children and Families, as well as local youth who require early intervention to remain under the care of their guardians. Our goal is to support youth through challenging times, helping them stabilize and prepare for the next steps in their journey. WCYS provides 24/7 staffing to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents. Available Positions We are hiring for one Youth Advocate positions with the following schedules:
Position :
Sunday 9am-11pm Monday 3pm-11pm Tuesday 3pm-11p The position requires attendance at weekly staff meetings on Wednesdays from 1:45 PM - 4:30 PM. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety of youth residents. Maintain a structured, supportive, and positive living environment. Engage youth in recreational and enrichment activities, including games, music, movies, community service projects, hiking, swimming, and other seasonal activities. Assist with light cooking and household upkeep. Communicate effectively with the team through written reports and verbal updates. Qualifications & Skills Passion for working with youth and making a meaningful impact. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to maintain professional boundaries. Ability to provide a stable and supportive presence for youth in crisis. Reliable transportation and willingness to transport youth as needed.
Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay:
$21.00 per hour
