Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling short-term contract assignment as a School Social Worker serving a caseload of 12 students for Extended School Year (ESY) programming. This unique opportunity, located near McKeesport, PA, will have you working onsite at two supportive educational environments. The assignment runs from June 18, 2026, to July 17, 2026, with program dates structured for an optimal work-life balance. Enjoy working mornings (8 AM - 12 PM, hours subject to change) in a collaborative and student-centered setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Pennsylvania School Social Worker Certificate is required Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred Ability to serve students from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of needs Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Experience in case management and delivering social-emotional support in educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct social and emotional support to students as outlined in their IEPs and program plans Serve as a key liaison between students, families, and interdisciplinary educational teams Conduct individual and group interventions aimed at improving academic and social outcomes Support the development and implementation of positive behavioral supports Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services delivered Facilitate communication and referrals to community resources as needed This contract role is ideal for candidates seeking meaningful, focused work within a supportive and dynamic academic environment.
