A local district is seeking an experienced professional to join their Child Study Team on a contract basis to conduct an initial evaluation for a preschool student. Key Qualifications:
Active and valid School Social Worker license required Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English; able to conduct thorough assessments in both languages Demonstrated experience in school-based or child study team settings Expertise in conducting evaluations for preschool-aged children Strong written communication skills, including producing comprehensive evaluation reports Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in school social work Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive initial bilingual (Spanish) evaluation for a preschool student as part of the Child Study Team Utilize culturally sensitive assessment tools and practices Coordinate with other professionals, observing student hours from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and staff hours as outlined Prepare a detailed, timely evaluation report, ensuring completion by the specified deadline Maintain documentation and adhere to all state and district regulations Communicate findings effectively to school staff and families
