Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students and their families by using your expertise as a school social worker in a dynamic educational setting. This contract role, conveniently located near Spring Lake, MI, places you at the center of a collaborative environment focused on student well-being and success.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Current state license or certification as a School Social Worker Previous experience in a school-based or youth-focused setting preferred Demonstrated understanding of child/adolescent development and crisis intervention Excellent communication, consultation, and advocacy skills Strong organizational abilities and adaptability within diverse school communities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide social work services to students identified with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement support plans Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address specific student needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop educational strategies Serve as a liaison connecting families to community resources and support systems Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with school and legal requirements This role allows you to engage directly with students and school staff, offering vital support and fostering a positive learning environment.
