Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Build meaningful connections and make a lasting impact as an onsite School Social Worker serving students in the DeKalb, Illinois area. This full-time opportunity places you at the center of a supportive educational team, where your expertise will help students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges so they can succeed both in and out of the classroom. In this role, you will work directly with K-12 students, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. You'll play a key role in addressing barriers to learning, providing counseling services, and helping students develop the skills they need to thrive.

K-12 students (specific assignment based on experience and district needs)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social and emotional well-being Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of IEPs and intervention plans Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Assist in crisis intervention and provide guidance during challenging situations Connect students and families with community resources and support services Promote positive behavior strategies and a safe, inclusive school environment
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Experience working in a school or with school-aged children preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Commitment to supporting diverse student populations This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative school community where your work has a direct and lasting impact on students' lives.
