Contract Licensed Social Worker (Hybrid) Calhoun County, WV | Flexible Scheduling The Calhoun County Family Resource Network / Family Support Center (FRN/FSC) is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to support the Calhoun RISE (Recovery, Integration, and Sustainable Employment) initiative. If you believe in the power of healing, recovery, and community-driven change, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a rural community. Job Description This position focuses on providing wrap around support to individuals and families, strengthening recovery pathways, and building partnerships that improve long-term stability and opportunity in Calhoun County. You will collaborate with community partners, peer recovery specialists, and local organizations to deliver person-centered, trauma-informed care. Key Responsibilities Provide case management, supportive counseling, and resource navigation Connect individuals to healthcare, recovery services, housing, and workforce programs Support and guide Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) Lead community education and anti-stigma efforts Build and strengthen partnerships across agencies, businesses, and organizations Who We're Looking For We're seeking someone who: Believes healing and recovery are possible Takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach Values lived experience and meeting people where they are Thrives in rural, community-driven environments Enjoys building programs in evolving settings Works collaboratively across networks
Qualifications Education:
Master's degree in Social Work or related field (Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice)
Licensure:
Current WV Social Work license (LCSW or LICSW) Experience in recovery or substance use services is preferred but not required Work Environment & Flexibility Flexible scheduling to support community-based work Hybrid / remote options available Periodic in-person engagement in Calhoun County Occasional regional travel (reimbursed per policy) Supportive, team-oriented environment tailored to help staff succeed Compensation & Growth Compensation is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and structure (contract/salary/hybrid) This role is supported by funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Opportunity to help grow a long-term, sustainable initiative with real community impact Why Join Us?
