This contract position offers the opportunity to work as a School Social Worker with students ages 18-21, helping them navigate academic, social, and personal challenges as they prepare for the next stage of life. You'll collaborate alongside educators and specialists in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Maryland Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required Professional experience working with school-age or transition-age youth preferred Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations Comfort providing social-emotional support and crisis intervention Experience in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social work services to young adults between the ages of 18-21, providing both individual and group support as needed Conduct assessments and develop strategies to address students' personal, emotional, or family challenges that may impact their academic progress Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to create effective support plans Support transition planning to help prepare students for life after school, including vocational training, college, or independent living Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations and confidentiality standards This flexible role offers 28 hours per week and provides a competitive hourly rate of $40-45, based on experience.
