ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Software Business Development, you will: 1. Architect the Market (Strategic BD) Perform deep-dive "white-space" analysis to identify high-ROI verticals (Fleet, Retail, CPO). Prioritize accounts based on long-term Lifetime Value (LTV) rather than just quick wins. Navigate complex regulatory landscapes (NEVI, OCPP 2.0.1) to ensure we are positioned for the biggest funding cycles. 2. Drive the Software Engine (Full-Cycle Sales) Own the software revenue quota and maintain an assigned attachment rate on all hardware deployments. Translate complex technical capabilities (APIs, load management, remote diagnostics) into clear financial value for C-suite stakeholders. Manage a high-visibility pipeline in Salesforce to accelerate deal cycles. 3. Influence the Global Roadmap (Product Advocacy) Synthesize North American market needs and translate them into technical business cases. Quantify the "Cost of Inaction"—providing the data that helps our global team prioritize high-ROI features for the NA market. Act as the "Internal Software Product Manager" for the region, ensuring Kempower stays ahead of local competitors.WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
The "Builder" (5-8+ Years Experience): You have a proven track record of building a software business or territory from the ground up. You've ideally spent 5+ years in B2B SaaS or Enterprise Software sales, specifically navigating the transition from "early adopter" to "market leader."Industry Fluency:
You have deep roots in Renewable Energy, Fleet Management, or Grid Infrastructure. You understand that software isn't an "add-on"—it's the essential intelligence that solves infrastructure gaps.A Technical Translator:
You can talk shop with an IT Director about APIs in the morning and discuss TCO with a CFO in the afternoon.Analytically Rigorous:
You don't guess; you use registration data and grant maps to build your strategy.A Cross-Border Collaborator:
You've worked with international teams before and know how to build rapport across time zones and cultures.Commercially Sharp:
You understand the SaaS financial model (MRR, LTV, CAC) and how software margins drive overall company valuation.WHY KEMPOWER?
